Actor, composer and concert pianist, Troy Yorke is pleased to be a part of the Fringe once again.
He starred last year in Andrew Wong Elliot's Urban Myth receiving great acclaim for his performance as "The Guy".
He was seen this year in the "Beta Barn" series of Rogers Video commercials and appeared in the popular teen-horror
flick Final Destination, recently in theatres. Troy will be seen next in Alan Rudolph's Trixie performing with
Nathan Lane, which stars Emily Watson and Nick Nolte.
As a pianist, Troy has concertized in Canada, US, and Europe in solo piano and chamber recitals and received a Masters of Music degree from the renowned Manhattan School of Music in New York City. The highlight of his NY experience was a commission from the Alliance Française to compose and perform a full chamber recital at the United Nations. An active film composer in Vancouver, Troy's score for Death of a Clown received the award for "Best Original Music" at the UBC-POV Film Festival '97. Troy holds regular acting classes and workshops at his downtown studio and teaches classical piano. |
